Frequently Asked Questions

I want to learn how to bake sourdough, how can I attend your workshop?

Simple sourdough workshops are offered weekly all-year around in-person and are hosted in my home kitchen. Booking can be made by checking the availability in my AirBnB Experience calendar. The workshop does not require a minimum number of attendance. I am happy to host for one or up to a group of 8! Please send me an email if you have any questions.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry but my cottage permit does not allow animals to be present during food handling!

Is this experience suitable for kids?

Absolutely! This is the ORIGINAL Play-Dough. It is recommended that the child is at least 7 years old (unless you express how precocious your kid is and really want them to partake). A parent or guardian must be present at all times for minors who attend.

What if I don’t have the tools to prepare sourdough at home?

All the tools I use are listed on my Essential Tool Guide with links to purchase. Otherwise there are alternatives for all the tools, sometimes we have to be creative to use whatever is available in the kitchen. The only truly mandatory tool is the kitchen scale!

Do you offer workshops for gluten-free sourdough?

I am not currently offering workshops for how to prepare gluten-free sourdough.

Do you offer online sourdough workshops?

Yes! I do on occasion offer 30-minute online workshops on “Starting a Sourdough Starter”. We’ll walk through the basics of getting your wild yeast activated and how to maintain the starter for years to come! Sign up for the next tutorial here.
